November 21, 2023 - Taiwanese Edition of The Auschwitz Volunteer Gets New Cover - Happy to share that Taiwanese publisher Acropolis has just reissued their Complex Chinese translation of The Auschwitz Volunteer with a terrific new cover!
August 17, 2023 - Hollywood Film About Pilecki Announced - The Polish Film Institute and Hollywood's Powder Hound Pictures have announced a joint venture to finance and produce a biographical film about Polish hero Witold Pilecki. Pilecki's most comprehensive report on his secret undercover mission as a prisoner at Auschwitz was published by Aquila Polonica under the title The Auschwitz Volunteer: Beyond Bravery. January 15, 2023 - Italian Edition of The Auschwitz Volunteer Gets New Cover - We're excited to share that Italian publiser Piemme is doing a new edition of their translation of The Auschwitz Volunteer with a very attractive new cover!
December 2022 - Serbian edition of The Auschwitz Volunteer published - In mid-December 2022, the Serbian-language edition of The Auschwitz Volunteer was published, launched by a well-attended event at the Serbian National Library in Belgrade in organized by the Serbian publisher Marsove knjige in cooperation with the Polish Embassy and the Genocide Victim's Museum.
April 5, 2021 - The Auschwitz Volunteer Now Available in Japanese - A Japanese edition of The Auschwitz Volunteer: Beyond Bravery by Captain Witold Pilecki is now available. Japanese-language rights were acquired by Misuzu Shobo Publishers in Tokyo, from Aquila Polonica Publishing, Los Angeles. This new Japanese edition joins the German, Italian, Portuguese, Finnish, complex Chinese (Taiwan), and simple Chinese (Mainland China) editions, previously licensed by Aquila Polonica to foreign publishers in those languages. December 6-9, 2018 - Boston, MA - 2018 ASEEES Convention - Aquila Polonica exhibited at the 2018 convention of the Association for Slavic, East European & Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) for the ninth year in a row. It was a great opportunity to showcase all our titles (including our award-winning title The Auschwitz Volunteer), meet old friends, and make new ones! November 30 through December 2, 2018 - Chicago, IL - 2018 NCSS Conference - Once again, the American Council for Polish Culture organized and manned the Polish Perspectives booth at the Annual Conference of the National Council for the Social Studies. More than 4,000 teachers attended, and browsed more than 250 booths. As in past years, Aquila Polonica donated several copies of each of its titles (including our award-winning book The Auschwitz Volunteer) for the Polish Perspectives booth, which were given away to teachers before the Conference's end. November 11-16, 2018 - New York City, NY - The Auschwitz Volunteer on Broadway - Captain Witold Pilecki on Broadway! We're very excited to announce that a one-actor show based on Aquila Polonica's award-winning book The Auschwitz Volunteer won the Best Documentary Show Award at the 2018 United Solo Theatre Festival. August 12, 2018 - Santa Monica, CA - The Auschwitz Volunteer Multimedia Performance - Aquila Polonica president Terry Tegnazian and actor Marek Probosz presented Aquila Polonica's two-person multimedia program about Captain Witold Pilecki and the resistance movement at Auschwitz, at Saint Monica's Church.
January 11-12, 2018 - Chandler, AZ - The Auschwitz Volunteer Multimedia Performances - Aquila Polonica president Terry Tegnazian and actor Marek Probosz presented two performances of Aquila Polonica's two-person multimedia program about Captain Witold Pilecki and the resistance movement at Auschwitz, to audiences totaling approximately 1,500 people. November 7, 2016 - Finnish version of The Auschwitz Volunteer now available! - Just received our copies of the Finnish version of The Auschwitz Volunteer: Beyond Bravery by Captain Witold Pilecki! We licensed Finnish-language rights to publisher Minerva Kustannus Oy in Helsinki.
August 20, 2016 - The Auschwitz Volunteer in the Wall St. Journal - The Wall St. Journal names The Auschwitz Volunteer as one of the "Five Best" books on wartime secret missions!! May 23, 2016 - Mainland China edition of The Auschwitz Volunteer - We just received our copies of the simplified Chinese (Mainland China) edition of The Auschwitz Volunteer by Captain Witold Pilecki, translated to English by Jarek Garlinski. We licensed the simplified Chinese rights to Beijing World Publishing Corporation. We licensed complex Chinese rights to Acropolis in Taiwan, and that edition has been available since early 2014.
November 19–22, 2015 - Association for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies Annual Convention, Philadelphia - Aquila Polonica exhibited at the 2015 ASEEES annual convention in Philadelphia—marking our sixth year at ASEEES! November 13–15, 2015 - New Orleans, LA - The Auschwitz Volunteer was one of the Aquila Polonica titles showcased at the Polish Perspectives booth at National Council for the Social Studies annual convention. The booth is sponsored each year by the American Council for Polish Culture. Cecilia Glembocki, one of the organizers of the booth, reported, "Your books were so very successful. If you could have seen the enjoyment on the faces of these young men teachers who loved the books. One young man asked three times if I were for real. He said he got his Christmas gift very early."
September 19, 2015 - London, England - Jarek Garlinski, translator of The Auschwitz Volunteer: Beyond Bravery, by Captain Witold Pilecki, was interviewed live on BBC Radio 4's Today Programme, the UK's most popular news breakfast programme (TV or radio). September 19th is the 75th anniversary of the day that Captain Witold Pilecki began his historic undercover mission as a prisoner at Auschwitz.
September 18, 2015 - Jimmy Lakey on KCOL-AM600 - Radio host Jimmy Lakey on KCOL-AM600, covering northern Colorado, interviewed Aquila Polonica president Terry Tegnazian about Captain Witold Pilecki and The Auschwitz Volunteer, on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the beginning of Pilecki's historic undercover mission as a prisoner at Auschwitz.

August 2, 2015 - Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY - Warsaw Uprising Mural Dedicated - The Auschwitz Volunteer was one of the books available for sale at the dedication ceremony for a mural commemorating the 1944 Warsaw Uprising at the Polish National Home in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Aquila Polonica author Julian Kulski (The Color of Courage), was one of the featured speakers at the event on Sunday afternoon, August 2, 2015, The other speakers included Polish Consul General Urszula Gacek and N.Y. July 23, 2015 - Sarmatian Review praises Aquila Polonica - "Aquila Polonica is probably the finest and most successful publisher of Polish books in the United States," says Sarmatian Review in a Facebook post reporting on Aquila Polonica's sale of simplified Chinese rights for The Auschwitz Volunteer.The post continues: "This is truly a road marker. May 27-29, 2015 - New York City - Aquila Polonica at Book Expo America - Aquila Polonica president Terry Tegnazian attended Book Expo America ("BEA") in New York City, the largest book show in the U.S. It was a great opportunity to meet people, renew acquaintances and explore publishing resources. Aquila Polonica books were featured in three booths at BEA: The Color of Courage and The Auschwitz Volunteer were on display by Aquila Polonica's distributor, National Book Network; The Color of Courage was featured at the Independent Book Publishers Association booth as a Ben Franklin winner; and all of Aquila Polonica titles were shown at the booth of the Polish Cultural Institute.
