Yale Professor Timothy Snyder sums up why Pilecki's report is so important, in concluding his remarks at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's 2013 International Holocaust Rememberance Day event on January 27, 2013, honoring Captain Witold Pilecki and the book "Auschwitz Volunteer: Beyond Bravery."




The Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City, in cooperation with the Polish Cultural Institute of New York, presented The Auschwitz Volunteer. Historian Timothy Snyder from Yale University, Dr. David G. Marwell, Director of the Museum of Jewish Heritage, and Aquila Polonica publisher Terry Tegnazian went onstage to discuss The Auschwitz Volunteer.
